If you were a very shy girl, and there was a guy in your class for the last 4 years who you never spoke to...?

What kind of person is the friend? If you were to tip her off that you wanted to get to know her friend better or thought she was cute, would she take action to make it happen? Like invite you both to go to a movie with her and some other friends, talk to you at lunch, whatever? If so, go with that. If not, just go talk to her! As a shy girl myself, I know that not as many people talk to me because I dont' talk to them first. But I like it when people do talk to me. I usually make a pretty good effort to talk back. I might be shy at first, especially if I like the person, but I will warm up eventually. Just be nice and friendly (don't seem condescending or like you're judging her if shes a little awkward because shes shy). If you don't get through to her, just keep trying. She may or may not like you in the way that you like her, but I see no reason she wouldn't want to be friends. Maybe tell her what you told us, that you've never really talked to her before, so you overlooked how great of a person she is and tell her you'd like to get to know her. Good luck!
